Removing Facial Hair The Easy Way

Removing facial hair with threading?  What is this any way…

Threading is a very old way of removing facial hair.  It is still used in many parts of the countries in the Middle East, India and Pakistan. It’s a much less common system in America for removing hair at the root. Normally, threading is usually performed on the entire visage including upper lip, chin, eyebrows, cheeks and sideburns. Threading can be performed either at salons or at home. Threading is a perfect answer for pulling fine hair like the ones that usually are on the upper lip. It’s actually better than bleaching or shaving, but it can be as dreadful as waxing.   It depends on how delicate your skin is and how thickset your hair really grows…

This process is called “threading” as you use regular stitching thread to get rid of the follicles. Frankly, it’s much faster and a lot easier to have it performed at the salon but if you are into home solutions, here is what you will need to be aware of.

How Does Removing Facial Hair With Threading Works?

Usually, sewing thread (cotton) is twisted and furled along the surface of the skin which entwines the hair within itself.   The thread is then pulled out from the follicle. It actually is removing facial hair the easy way.

Begin with about a meter of strong sewing thread. Grab one end of that thread in each hand and make a knot with both ends in order to end up with a continuous circle. Keeping the thread with both hands, roll the thread about 10 times until it looks like a bow tie. The wounded part should be in the center. Next, slip the wounded part towards one of your hands by spreading the fingers of the other hand while closing the other fingers of your other hand. Exercise moving the wounded part back and forth; alternating the fingers that you spread and close. When you reach the point where you can easily operate the wound area back and forth, you can then proceed with the removal.

Since you will have more space to work with, exercise this very procedure on leg hairs.  Soon you should get the hang of it. Sit somewhere comfortable and lift up one of your leg up so it’s at a comfy height. Choose the little bugger (hair) that you want to remove. Position the wound side of the string on one side of the target hair and then lay the string from the opposite end around both sides of the hair, encircling it. Then, do the finger stretching and closing number to rapidly move the wound part to the other side of the string. This will catch the hair and pull it from the stem. Rinse and repeat the procedure until such a time that you have treated the whole area. For removing facial hair, it is recommended to have a friend’s help.

Removing Facial Hair – Tips and Information

I know that it probably sounds puzzling. That is the reason why it’s recommended you have it done at the salon the 1st time. See if you can figure out how they do it, and then try it in the comfort of your own home. Threading is really not that expensive. Just think you are paying to learn.   Once you learn it, you will be able to do it at home. Depending on how fast your hair grows, you may only have to thread once every month. It is not really dangerous to thread as there are no side effects. But if you are particularly sensitive to pain, you might find the procedure uncomfortable. The best part is that once you learn how to execute the threading procedure, you can do it rapidly and as often as you need to.  Since threading is not for everyone, upper lip hair removal can be accomplished many other different way.

Threading is cheap, neat and fast. It is also considered less painful than plucking and it is very good for the eyebrows and for removing facial hair; comparable to plucking, these results can last up from 3 to 4 weeks.
